Hound about Town

Henry had an evening out on the town in Macon this past Friday.  First, we met some friends at The Rookery, where we could dine al fresco.  Henry was a little camera shy.  Or maybe he was searching for a bit of one of the hamburgers that The Rookery is famous for:

Afterwards, we went to Taste and See for coffee, tea, and dessert.  They have an outdoor seating area, too.

I see you!  Now can I taste?

Henry liked getting attention from our buddy Bill.  Bill liked to pet on a big dog because he just has wiener dogs at home.

Henry had fun exploring the bigger world.  He's already asking when his next outing will be.

Walk Around the Farm

Henry's foster home is at a farm.  This past weekend we finally had a chance to take a long walk.  He did great on the leash and enjoyed checking out the sight, sounds, and smells.

You've Got a Friend

By the way, it turns out that Henry and Allie are half-siblings!  I was looking at Henry's records and saw that his sire is Flying Hydrogen.  Hmm...that name sounded familiar.  I checked Allie's records, and sure enough, her sire is Flying Hydrogen, too.  They are both sweet, good-natured hounds.  Flying Hydrogen must have passed down some excellent genes.

Oh Henry came to the Jordan home as a foster last week.  He has two humans (Betty Jean and Robert) and three dogs (greyhounds Allie and Mr. Spock and beagle Shelly) to teach him about life after racing.  Henry is a sweetheart!  He has learned so much in just a week.  Be on the lookout for details about Henry's foster adventures.
